Registration open for holiday care program

YWCA Tonawandas Holiday Care program for 5- to 12-year-olds will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Dec. 22, 23, 26, 29 and 30 and Jan. 2. The YWCA Holiday Care at 49 Tremont St., North Tonawanda, offers child care and enrichment activities for elementary school children in kindergarten through grade five. Citizen’s Police Academy accepting applications

The Kenmore Police Citizen’s Police Academy will begin its 15th session in mid-January. Applications are being accepted. The three-and-a-half-hour sessions will be held weekly for 11 weeks. These classes offer an in-depth look into the operations of the Kenmore Police Department. Reservations are required, and class size is limited. American Legion Band to perform Dec. 14

The American Legion Band of the Tonawandas will perform at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, at the Riviera Theatre, 67 Webster St. A pre-concert organ performance will take place at 7 p.m. Advance tickets are $10, and at the door they are $12. They cost $8 for youths younger than 12 years old. Tickets are available in advance at the Tonawanda Senior Citizen Center, Mid-City Opticians, Walker Bros. & Monroe Jewelers, American Legion Post 264 and the Riviera Theatre box office or website, which is www.rivieratheatre.org.

Zonta Club of Kenmore to hold fundraiser Dec. 7

The Zonta Club of Kenmore will hold a pancake breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, at Zebb’s, 2875 Niagara Falls Blvd. Tickets are $6. All proceeds will be donated to the “Zonta Says No - Violence Against Women Campaign.” For tickets, contact Karen Fritsch at 418-4167.

Freudig Singers to present concert

The Freudig Singers of Western New York will present “A Christmas Pie” concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at Kenmore Presbyterian Church, 2771 Delaware Ave., and at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, at Blessed Trinity Church, 317 Leroy Ave., Buffalo. Latshaw Pops concert scheduled for Dec. 11

The Latshaw Pops Orchestra will present a Christmas show at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, at the Riviera Theatre, 65 Webster St. in North Tonawanda. Ticket prices are $35 and $25. Reservations may be made by calling 692-2413 or online at www.rivieratheatre.org.

Santa Lucia Pageant slated for Dec. 14

Augustana Lutheran Church will present a Santa Lucia Pageant at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, at the church, 3143 Eggert Road near Colvin Boulevard. The pageant will be followed by light refreshments.
