Robert W. Humphrey, Buffalo machinist

Robert W. Humphrey, 89, of Kenmore, died Thursday, July 4, 2013.

Mr. Humphrey grew up in Hanover, N.H. He was a machinist’s mate third class in the U.S. Navy during World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater from 1943 to 1946.

He received his bachelor’s degree in engineering from Tufts University. He moved to the Buffalo area in 1959 and worked as an engineer for Continental Can and later for Scott Aviation.

Mr. Humphrey is survived by two sons, George and John.

Funeral services were held July 8, with arrangements made by Amigone Funeral Home.
