Blessed Sacrament offering chili at church

Blessed Sacrament Church’s Parish Center, 263 Claremont Ave., will be the site for Luke’s Mission of Mercy’s Soup-er Chili Nites from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2. Admission — $12 per person, children under 12 free — includes all the soup or chili a person can eat, dessert and beverage. Also a 50/50 raffle and a Soup-er Chinese auction will be offered. Take out available.

Historical Society hosting used book sale

The North Tonawanda Historical Society is hosting a used books sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 2 at 54 Webster St., North Tonawanda. A bag of books costs $5 while individuals books are 50 cents each or three for $1 for paperbacks and hard covers are $1 each or three for $2.

Ideal Weight classes scheduled weekly

Ida Shapiro will hold fitness classes at 6:15 p.m. every Tuesday at Zion United Methodist Church of Christ, at Parker Boulevard and Koenig Circle, Tonawanda. The classes feature visualizations, guest speakers and group support. To register, call 636-3698.

St. Paul’s hosting theme tray auction

St. Paul Parish Hall, 47 Victoria Blvd., Kenmore, will host a theme tray raffle and auction starting at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9. Nearly 200 items will be raffled. Admission is free.

Ken-Ton YMCA hosting basketball tournament

The Ken-Ton Family YMCA, 535 Belmont Ave., Kenmore, welcomes youth in fifth through 12 grade to participate in a basketball tournament being held starting at noon on March 16.
